Kayseri Airport (ASR) is a civilian and military airbase situated 5 kilometers north of Kayseri in Turkey’s Kayseri Province. It is also known as Erkilet International Airport. Its IATA code is ASR. A significant hub for travel to Cappadocia is the airport.
The distance from the heart of Kayseri is around 4 kilometers, and Cappadocia’s eastern region is about 56 kilometers. The General Directorate of State Airports manages this airport, which is an international one. There is enough for eight big airplanes on the apron.
With the existence of the new international terminal in March 2007, the airport’s annual passenger capacity increased to one million. The airport can accommodate giant airplanes like the Boeing 747. Smaller aircraft like the Boeing 737 and 757 are more regularly sighted there.
